Most of the industries are transparent in their pricing to customers, why hospitals do not disclose or put their prices openly. Transparency is beneficial for physicians as well as patients. Even though there is the law for price transparency do INDIAN hospitals follow it? One major problem is that doctors are frequently known to be the authority about financial matters for patients. even though they aren’t aware of the prices of certain care. Another problem that impacts is that all insurance plan groups have one of a kind proprietary guidelines.
I wish to know some inputs regarding how the hospitals in INDIA fallow price transparency, anyone who knew about this share your views!
Price transparency in healthcare is always a myth. Clinical care and economic support are the main things that make a difference in providing care. Health care companies can improve the lives of patients by eliminating certain financial barriers to accessing care.
Patients are likely to experience healthcare differently in the future from their present experience. This could include contact between patients and their health care providers. The possibilities are almost infinite, beginning with a rewarding patient for having acted more effectively to establish a more reliable and streamlined billing system.
Following…I’,m also curious to know this.
Unless government and private players join hands and develop a centralised system for healthcare where in people can get good knowledge of what is available for them and also the cost of the treatment, transparency in Healthcare will be a great challenge in India
Hospitals have some discretion in the format for making the information public, but the shoppable services must be published online without barriers , and be searchable.
