What is the difference between electronic medical record and electronic health record?

There are different records in hospital but medical records is maintained very carefully. Instead of dumping the files and maintaining them, it’s easy to do it with the help of digitalisation. As lots of terms are popping up don’t know which is the correct one to implement for maintaining medical records.

Digital versions in clinics, clinics and hospitals of the paper chart are (EMRs). EMRs contain notes and data that are obtained at that office, clinic, or hospital by and for physicians and are mostly used by professionals for diagnosis and treatment. EMRs are more useful than paper records because they allow clinicians to track data over time, classify patients for preventive visits and tests, monitor patients, and improve the quality of health care.

Whereas (EHRs) are designed to surpass traditional clinical data obtained at the office of a physician and to provide a broader view of the treatment of a patient. EHRs contains information from all patient care practitioners and all licensed patient care clinicians can access the information to provide treatment to the patient. EHRs contain information from all patients. EHR also shares information, such as laboratories and specialists, with other health care providers. Patients with EHRs–the specialist, the hospital, the hospital and even throughout the country
